of the Conference for Inclusive Communities. Bird is a former superintendent
of Westside Community Schools in Omaha. The Conference for Inclusive Communities (CFIC), a human relations organization established in Omaha as the National Conference for Christians and Jews in 1938, strongly opposes the petition initiative that would amend the Nebraska Constitution to ban the use of any affirmative action programs in public education, public employment and public contracting in the state of Nebraska.
